[Object Datasource]: Steps to create a Object Datasource

Object datasource allows data to be extracted at runtime from Java objects and Enterprise Java Beans. If your Java classes comply with standard bean accessor patterns (eg. getXXX and isYYY), the values can be easily extracted.

Java objects are required to be placed at the folder of the product before running the product.

  1. Download ‘ObjectDatasource.zip’ from the above link.
  2. Unzip ‘ObjectDatasource.zip’ to a folder.
  3. Copy ‘er5ObjectDBTest.jar’ and place at $ELIXIR_REPORT_PROFESSIONAL_HOME\ext.
  4. Run Elixir Report Professional.
  5. Click on ‘Add FileSystem’ and select ‘Jar FileSystem’.
  6. Enter ‘KnowledgeBase’ for Name and locate ‘ObjectDatasource.jar’ at the folder that ‘ObjectDatasource.zip’ is unzipped to ObjectDatasource is ready at Elixir Repository.
