Encrypting the Connection Pool through Repertoire Designer 8.x

  1. HTTPS Protocol
    To ensure secure communication between the client and server, Repertoire 8 can be configured to run in HTTPS mode. Please refer to the following guide for detailed instructions: Configure Repertoire 8.x in HTTPS mode

  2. Encrypting the Connection Pool through Repertoire Designer
    Repertoire Designer provides a feature to encrypt connection pools. To encrypt a .pool file, follow these steps:

    [S1] Open Repertoire Designer and locate the .pool file in the right-hand panel.

    [S2] Double-click the file to open the Connection Pool Wizard.

    [S3] Click “Next” through the configuration steps until you reach the final screen.

    [S4] On this screen, you will see checkboxes for Read Only, Hide Details, and Encrypted.

    [S5] Check the Encrypted box and input your password to confirm the encryption.

    [S6] Save the .pool file to apply the changes securely.

This process ensures that database credentials are encrypted, enhancing the security of your connection pool configuration.
