Extended Support ensures business continuity for customers operating legacy systems while encouraging timely migration to supported versions.

Elixir Technology provides Extended Support for customers who continue to use legacy versions of Ambience and Repertoire beyond their official End-of-Life (EOL) dates. While these versions no longer receive patches, bug fixes, or security updates, Extended Support remains a premium service due to several operational factors.

Dedicated Technical Support

An Elixir support team with expertise in maintaining legacy product versions will be assigned to assist in for troubleshooting, configuration, and operational guidance.

Legacy Knowledge Retention

Older versions often rely on older frameworks (e.g., Akka, Java 8) that are no longer actively maintained. Elixir retains documentation, test environments, and internal tooling to support these versions, which incurs ongoing overhead.

Migration Assistance

Extended Support includes advisory services to help customers plan and execute upgrades to supported versions. This includes compatibility checks, upgrade paths, and best practices for transitioning to newer architectures in later release versions.

Access to Software Upgrades

Customers on Extended Support are eligible to upgrade to the latest supported version without additional licensing costs. This ensures continuity and future-proofing, even if the legacy version is no longer patched.

While no new patches nor updates are issued, Elixir will provide guidance on known vulnerabilities and mitigations as-is within reasonable effort. For example, customers are advised to upgrade from versions using Akka or log4j due to licensing and security concerns.
